North Korea Has A Nuclear Deterrent And Is So Far Safe

Korea has tested and ICBM and that is part of their deterrent

The US attacked Syria but North Korea is different Kettle of fish and Trump will have to think 10 times before launching an attack

Kim Yong-Un is in the news.He is a young man but he seems to have clear priorities.He is determined to have a nuclear deterrent and in that quest has carried out the latest launch of an ICBM.Yes! an ICBM that rose to a height of 1741 miles and then flew over 900 miles into the waters adjacent to Japan.If the trajectory of the missile is changed and angle of launch lowered, the missile could well travel 4000 miles.In that case, it could hit Alaska and obviously, the US is worried.

One thing is clear that in case Kim had no deterrent like Syria he would have been reduced to rouble years back by the USA.

His nuclear arsenal and the threat to use it against Japan and South Korea has carried the day.The deterrent has saved the North from an American attack.Indians may well take lessons from this and accordingly beef up their muscle vis a vis China and Pakistan.

The North Korean scientists are well on way to develop ICBMs that can hit the USA. The USA can launch an attack but that would mean forsaking their ally South Korea which would inevitably be destroyed.Hence the South Korean president will do well not to dance to Trumps tunes.The reality is that there is no security without a nuclear deterrent and North Korea has proved it.
