I have been writing on the net for some time and have observed umpteen articles where writers advice how to increase page views. Some say link to other articles and some advice to connect through social interaction sites like twitter and face book. Unfortunately all this writing misses the main point, that page views alone will lead you nowhere. It is like trying to reach the proverbial El Dorado that simply does not exist. In other words whatever page views you muster up you just cannot make at least $500 on the net in a month anyway, though to leada comfortable life only on writing $1000 is a requirement, but that must remain a pipe dream.
Some sites pay on comments at the rate of 1c for a comment of 50 words. Has anybody thought that to make just 100 dollars on comments how many words and comments one will have to make to get this amount? The fact is that writing articles on any site like Hub pages, Experts column, Wikinut etc just cannot give you money. I mean at least $ 500 a month. In case you draw a graph between effort and output it will be a very dismal graph as earnings will not match the efforts you as a writer have put inn.
So what is the solution? Does that mean you cannot make money by writing? No not at all as I have a few friends including myselfwho do make anything between $500-1200 per month. How do they do it? Firstly to make money you will have to join sites that make up front payments for articles like Helium and Academia-research.com. But there is a catch in such sites as ordinary run of the mill writers have no place there.
As an example I can safely say that 90% of the writers on most sites like EC just cannot make the cut to be a writer on academia research. Even to be paid up front on sites like helium you will have to churn out extremely professional stud to get payment, as you will be competing against the best. In case you can write 80-100 articles on helium you can safely pocket $200 or more in your kitty. You write the same amount of articles on other sites you will be nowhere near that amount. Academia research can give you up to $3000 a month.
For most writers the best thing is to enjoy your writing and not concentrate and waste time on garnering page views. The best thing is that volumes have a meaning so turn in at least 150 articles a month and some money will flow in. In case you can post 2000 articles on EC you can have some income, maybe $50 a month. Remember the name of the game is to enjoy writing. Making money is incidental unless you are very good.
