New Writing Sites Are Moving Ahead

I have been writing on a number of sites. Some of these are the ‘older sites’ like hub pages, Knoji and Suite101. Then there are the intermediate sites like Experts column, Wikinut, Bukisa among others. As far as the older established sites are concerned they have been too long in the field and have honed their apparatus. But these sites do not pay much, but what you lose in payment is made up by the name and a writer writing on these sites is thought to be a cut above the ordinary.
The median writing sites did try and make

a splash but sites like Wikinut don’t give you anything at all and I can vouchsafe that with a viewership of half a million the payment is a woeful $ 40. EC started with a bang at one time and I imagined that it would soon dethrone the established sites. Unfortunately the site because of a software glitch lost over 10,000 articles and it’s not been the same after that. The viewership has plummeted and so are the
earnings. There was a time I had a viewership of almost 2000 a day which yesterday was a measly 350. Bukisa is lost like the cow but the saving grace is that despite ad sense form of payment it has paid me over $200.
But there is a silver lining in the form of new sites like and These sites at the moment seem to have stolen the thunder and apart from paying heavily they are a pleasure to write with photos and a clean and clear interface with the authors and their articles. EC is way behind in this field, though I for one expected that it would revamp itself.
There is also a site which looks promising with instant payments. But I haven’t tried it. All I can say that the field is vast and the newer sites if they keep up the good start will steal the thunder from the older sites. Let’s see how things unfold.
