The Killing Fields Of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has a lot to answer for its conduct after the end of the civil war. Resprts suggest that the Lanka army was a law unto itself. It moved in a manner that sullied the uniform of a soldier. A soldier is tought to fight and kill, but over that is the conduct as a gentleman. It is this concept that has been tainted. Why ? The fact is the Lanka army killed unarmed Tamil civilians. Worse they shot Tamil fighters who were surrendering with a white flag. It was an act without justification. The British parliament
had taken note of the killing fields
in Lanka and the conduct of the army. They had asked for an investigation of the war crimes of the Lanka army. Now another video has surfaced which shows the son of Prabhakaran who was 12 was shot with 5 bullets in the chest. Such barbarity cannot be condoned. The UN is now going to vote on a resolution on the atrocities committed by the Lanka army. India as usual is vacillating and not likely to vote in favor of this resolution. This is sad and shows that India cannot support this resolution. We have now to wait and see which way the vote goes once the resolution is put to vote.
