Can We Forget These 8 Defeats In Cricket ?

Indians are not sports minded people and we hardly make a name in world of sports. Cricket is perhaps the one exception and Indians love the game. They are the ones who pay for the game and it is only because of the Indian masses that money is rolling into the game. Unfortunately  the cricket fans in India feel cheated. Here they are supporting a game with their hard earned money and the cricket players let India down.

The  culprits are 3 'great' players in Dravid,Laxman and Tendulkar. These 3 should have retired long back, but the lure of money has

kept them playing. In fact the cricket fans feel rightly cheated. The sad part is that these 3 are not retiring and perhaps may like to continue to play on. That will be sad and the board must take stock of the situation.

The selectors led by Shrrikant must take the blame as well. These wise men could have

exercised the chopping axe. After all if India is to lose, is it not better that we lose with youngsters, as these players will learn and perform better. Father time is on the  side of the younger players. Even if Sachin Tendulkar hits a century now and then does it wash away the ignominy of 8 consecutive defeats abroad, a world record in itself. Do we want to be the team that has the distinction of such dubious records ?

The Indian cricket fan feels cheated. Believe me in my interaction with many people especially young boys the hurt of 8 defeats is palpible. People feel numbed. These players who earn crores have let india and the cricket fan down. One wonders whether these players think on these lines intent on making a pile of money for their pockets. India winning be dammed.
